This document presents the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are needed for achieving and practicing the competencies listed in Addiction Counseling Competencies.

I have been surprised to find that many people I come in contact with throughout the country are unfamiliar with this seminal document. It's very useful in a variety of ways. When I looked to access it on line, however, I found it pretty tough to find. I suggest you download it to your computer for future reference.
